Red Salmon

In general, all lake-fed, clearwater tributaries of the Susitna host runs of sockeye, though the runs don't approach the sockeye free-for-alls one associates with the Kenai or the tundra rivers of Bristol Bay.
Some of the best sockeye action within the drainage takes place on Lake Creek and the Talachulitna River, but a handful of other, mostly smaller waters are capable of yielding up a limit of reds themselves.
There is good, dependable sockeye fishing in the Little Su, which has something of a reputation for producing an aggressive strain of the species.
