PenAir is one of the largest regional airlines in Alaska, currently offering regular service to ten communities in western Alaska from its headquarters in Anchorage, and it’s one of the largest leasers of Saab 340 aircraft in the United States. In all, the PenAir fleet consists of 15 Saab 340s (two all-cargo and 13 with 30-passenger capacity), as well as six Piper Saratogas (PA32 and PA32R), each with a passenger capacity of five. “The Spirit of Alaska” is written on the side of every airplane in the fleet, which indicates a commitment to extend the kind of cooperative spirit that has characterized life in bush Alaska. Trail Ridge Air is a long-standing air taxi service owned and operated by the Jensen family for the last 17 years. They are based from Lake Hood and provide flight-seeing tours, bear-viewing, fly-out fishing, float trip transportation and charter flights. Their fly-out fishing program includes guided angling on Lake Creek or non-guided angling on Alexander Lake. Float trip destinations include rivers in the Susitna Valley, Lake Clark, Katmai and the Mulchatna, Kuskokwim and Nushagak drainages. They operate on a year-round basis and utilize a fleet of two DeHavilland Beavers, a Cessna 206 and a Piper PA-12, which gives them the ability to meet the needs of a wide range of clients.

The Bait Shack
Ship Creek’s only one-stop shop for fishing rentals, bait, tackle and snacks, The Bait Shack has everything you need for a day’s salmon fishing on Anchorage’s premier urban stream, from rods and reels to hip boots. Overlooking Ship Creek, Bridge Seafood focuses on Alaskan seafood including salmon, halibut, rockfish, crab, shrimp, and oysters. All of their entreés are served with their smoked salmon spread, sourdough rolls and all-you-can-eat starter bar which includes tanner crab, smoked salmon and fresh salads.
