Sport Fishing Updates
Successfully fishing Alaska depends upon knowing when
and where to fish. In
general, king salmon fishing begins in the spring and ends by mid-summer;
sockeye, pink, and chum fishing is next; and silver salmon come in during the
late summer and fall. Halibut and other species are available at differing times
in different areas also.
The "Southeast Weekly Fishing
Report" is a weekly fishing report for chinook, pink and coho salmon and
halibut in Yakutat, Haines, Juneau, Sitka, Petersburg, Wrangell,
Ketchikan, and Craig.
