As winter is setting in it's obviously time to get back to the tying bench and fill the boxes for 2014. I especially want to tie some more elaborate tube and other Spey-style flies for what I hope is a big king season next year. Any favorites?

Re: Spey Flies?
Reverse marabou tube flies. Big profile, but light and easy to cast. You can make them big or small, you can stack them for contrasting color or to make a larger 'fly'. I tie most of mine unweighted, in the round. The one shown is burgundy and red marabou, purple holographic flashabou, and a red guinea collar. somewhere under all that is a dubbing ball and lagartun mini-flat braid body. Looks like I missed the 'more elaborate' part!
