Grilled Salmon with Cucumber Sauce

Try this simple, tasty treatment for any kind of salmon from the classic Alaskan cookbook "Salmon Recipes" by Cecilia and Stu Nibeck.

Ingredients
Two salmon steaks, one inch thick
Butter, melted
Salt and pepper

Sauce
1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
2 tsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. chopped chives
1/2 medium cucumber, peeled and finely chopped or shredded
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. white pepper

Dry salmon steaks, brush with melted butter or olive oil on each side. Place in oven and broil over high heat or grill over charcoal. Cook turning once for 5-8 minutes on each side or until salmon flakes easily. Transfer to warm serving platter, season and keep warm. During grilling, mix cucumber sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Warm sauce. Spoon sauce over salmon.
