Appanage Fishing Scent Striker
appanagefishing.com
Scent Striker added three new color choices for the 2021 season: black, green, and red. Scent Striker threads onto your line or leaders, in combination with any lure, and allows you to add scent to any bait offering. Scent Striker’s colorful fibers hold an ample amount of your favorite oil, gel, or sauce and concentrate that “dinner-bell smell” where you need it most—at your hook. Scent Striker is Alaska tough and lasts bite after bite. The only thing you need to do is periodically add more oil, gel, or sauce to keep your bait offering “fresh.” Scent Striker comes in three models: Original, Fob, and Singles. In 2021 we tested Scent Striker’s new Scent Sauce and found it very effective in drawing more fish to our lures.
Pro-Cure Butt Juice
pro-cure.com
We highly endorse Pro-Cure Bait Scents and cures and have found them to help us catch more fish. We recently used Butt Juice Super Gel on trips to Yakutat and Kodiak and it helped us to land 10 species of bottomfish. Pro-Cure now makes a Garlic Butt Juice option that you should add to your arsenal.

BnR Tackle Slammin Salmon Pro Pack
bnrtackle.com
BnR Tackle is excited to announce the newest addition to their Pro Pack family. This Slammin Salmon Pro Pack features 16 mm, 20 mm and the brand new 25 mm gonzo-sized beads in four of their hottest Chinook and coho colors. Each box comes with nearly 70 beads and the extra-large T-Stops to match. This box can be a key tool to your arsenal for targeting Chinook and coho in tributary and tidewater sections of your favorite rivers. We recommend pairing the beads with two feet of 12- to 20-pound-test monofilament leader, a 1/0 to 2/0 hook, bead pegged two inches from the hook, and an inline or sliding weight matched to a ½- to 1-ounce sliding float. The beads can be fished either bobber doggin’ style or as a suspended presentation similar to bait. Beads for salmon are the real deal!Kodiak Custom Bottom Fish Jig
kodiakcustom.com
For many years we have used this lure to catch all manner of bottomfish. On a recent trip to Larsen Bay, Kodiak, we landed 10 species of bottomfish on this jig. We filmed the jig underwater and it looks amazingly lifelike on the drop; it’s no wonder that so many fish species eat the lure. It comes in many fish-catching colors, and multiple sizes. We use the 10- and 14-ounce versions most often.

XTRATUF Legacy Chelsea Deck Boot in Salmon Sisters Puffin Print
xtratuf.com
The Legacy Chelsea Boot offers the Alaska-proven functionality of their best-selling Legacy Boot but with a shorter upper height, creating a whole new class of boot. It has the same Commercial Grade performance and safety features of the classic Legacy Boot, but with functional pull tabs and a twin elastic gore for easy on/off when on the go. This new, perfect, all-purpose, wet/cold-weather boot features a new original “Puffin” print designed by the Salmon Sisters, two young Alaskan fishermen who are inspired by the wilderness of Alaska and the sustainable fisheries of the North Pacific.

Silver Horde KatchKooler Deluxe
silverhorde.com
We’ve been using the original KatchKooler for many years and love its performance. This upgraded Deluxe version is even better. It features a high-density, closed-cell foam inner liner, rip-resistant outer shell, a larger size to fit more fish (41.5” x 19.5”) and a strong handle. We can get three 15- to 20-pound Chinook and 10 pounds of ice in the fish bag. We are big fans of fish bags over hard-bodied coolers; they can be stored compactly until needed, are super light when empty, and easier to carry.
