Been busy this season and again apologies on not posting as frequently as last few years, I get a rare day off, today being one of those, tomorrow we start a fresh group with a day of trolling for salmon, this a group is from Europe, for 3 days and then followed by team Moab UT , so I will try to post when I can, this just a few highlights since last posting, already filling up for next season, this summer has been best on record, warm and calm. We lost a monster Halibut yesterday while reeling in a nice size one, pole bent hard over and line snapped, we think it may have been a Salmon Shark, we were half way from the bottom in still 250′ of water when it went, Orcas have done this before but at no time were there any around us. No worries, we still got our limits and returned to 75lb of fillets when cleaned.

Friday’s catch seen consistent nice size Butts around the 40’s were looking for our first over 100 this season, but we’re always happy with forty pounders, probably the perfect size for quality.
I am surprised at the bookings already coming in for next season, some of the good tide slots are taken, as a result I may not do any trade shows next year, as our loyal following of regulars are keeping us busy, be sure to book early, for next Summer, we have a few openings for two’s and Three’s this summer.
