Melissa NorrisAbout Melissa Norris

Melissa Norris is the Publisher and founder of Fish Alaska and Hunt Alaska magazines along with her brother Marcus Weiner. They started Fish Alaska with its first edition printed in 2001, then added Hunt Alaska magazine to their repertoire in 2009. Her experiences are vast and her knowledge of Alaska sport fishing is abundant. She is one of our main field testers for our Annual Gear Guides and product reviews on our websites.

She has her hand in most aspects our brand’s business including managing the art department and facilitating our digital front. With a Bachelors of Arts degree in Marketing Communications (Public Relations and Advertising) from Buffalo State University in New York, Melissa says this path is a natural fit for her.

Melissa Norris is a year round Alaska resident who resides in Eagle River just north of Anchorage. In addition to being obsessed with fishing, harvesting, and cooking, our Publisher loves cross country skate skiing, Nordic ice skating, mountain biking, fat tire biking, and more.
