Welcome!

We are so thrilled to bring you our new website. This project has been several years of work for our staff. From figuring out who could design our complex website to learning how to shoot videos, edit and become experienced bloggers, this has not been an easy task and yet it is so rewarding to see it come live to the web. It has been hundreds of hours of work from all of our contributors and full time producers and we think the result is very good.

We want to reward our loyal subscribers by offering even more content with subscriber-only bonus material made only available to our core of paid subscribers. If you get your copies on ERA or at the Newsstand, it makes even more sense now to order the publication to your address. Request online access or subscribe and get set up today.

Check Back Frequently

There is plenty of great content on this site made available to the public, but the best of the best is saved for our readers. Check back frequently as we plan to add content on a regular basis featuring different topics that are timely throughout the year.

This winter we will avidly discuss the ice fishing opportunities and talk about what’s hot, we’ll help you figure out gifts for anglers or what to ask for yourself. We will take an in-depth look at some hot fishing adventures for 2014 and help you plan your trip. We will discuss boat purchasing, what to look for, what the best boats are for specific Alaska waters. We will add recipes and flies and talk about the gear we tested this summer. We will do all this and more and that is just in the off season.

Please do give us your feedback. We strive to be the best and give readers what they want and cannot do that without an open dialogue with you. We’d love to hear about what content you want to see and the subjects you want to read about.

For more than a dozen years we have proudly put out a quality print publication and will continue to do so, but now we want to be known for the same quality online and allow our great readers to communicate with us and share their experiences and expertise. Please join our forums and submit your content.  Enter the content contest and win gear prizes. This site is as much about you as it is about Alaska’s sport fisheries. Please invite your friends to join our forum as we seek to grow our online fishing community and expand the resource for all.

Get out this winter and then tell us about it!
