Kenai River Lodge

All inclusive Alaska vacation

Kenai River lodge locations provide a centralized basecamp to access all the amazing fishing opportunities that exist on the fertile Kenai Peninsula. Anglers can head southeast to reach Seward where saltwater adventures include not only a varied species list of delicious options—halibut, lingcod, rockfish and seasonal runs of salmon—but also the chance to witness marine mammals, birds, stunning fjords and seascapes. Saltwater anglers also have the option to head south from their Kenai River lodge home base and drive to the end of the road in Homer. Anglers fishing here can access lower Cook Inlet, as well as head south into the Gulf of Alaska. Trips into the gulf often yield amazing catches of halibut, lingcod and rockfish. Lower Cook Inlet is a reliable halibut and seasonal salmon producer.

Kenai River LodgeAnglers with an inclination to flyout to remote destinations are in prime position when they stay at a Kenai River lodge. Alaskan Fishing Adventures uses a local flight service which makes it very convenient. Anglers taking part in these adventures fly across Cook Inlet and fish for sockeye salmon and coho salmon, depending on the time of the year. Bear viewing is also an option, as they will be looking for sockeye at Wolverine Creek just like you.

Kenai River lodge visitors are in prime position to access the Kenai River and at Alaskan Fishing Adventures, they have multiple locations on the river to choose from. Anglers Lodge is located in Sterling and Soldotna B&B Trophy Lodge is in Soldotna. Being directly on the river allows Alaskan Fishing Adventures guests to fish the river anytime they want. We visited both locations in August and bank fished, catching sockeye salmon at both locations and also rainbow trout at the Anglers Lodge location. Fishermen who base their stay on the Kenai are also just a short drive from the Kasilof River, which is an option at various times of the year for anglers staying at Alaskan Fishing Adventures lodges.

Kenai River LodgeComfortable accommodations and good food are hallmarks of a successful Kenai River lodge, and Alaskan Fishing Adventures offers both. At Anglers Lodge, guests enjoy a full breakfast, lunch to go, and a multi-course dinner. Visitors who stay at the Soldotna B&B Trophy Lodge location are treated to a full breakfast and brown bag lunch, then are able to visit local restaurants for dinner. This gives visitors to Alaskan Fishing Adventures properties options to choose the program that works best for them.

Basing your 2022 fishing trip at a Kenai River lodge is a smart choice to allow you to access saltwater, flyouts and both the Kenai and Kasilof rivers. If you stay at one of the Alaskan Fishing Adventures properties, then you can customize the program that works best for you, and enjoy the extra benefit of being able to bank fish the Kenai River whenever you want from their private riverside locations. When we stayed and fished at their Soldotna Trophy B&B Lodge location we experienced comfortable accommodations, excellent food, friendly and helpful staff, and some epic angling.
