The Travel Canoe™ TC16 is the world’s firstall drop-stitch, inflatable canoe. Shaped like a traditional canoe, but lighter and more portable, the TC16 is the perfect option for those with little storage space, those that travel a lot, those that don’t want to invest in a roof rack and those that want to go fishing, camping, bird watching or enjoy hitting the rapids. Packs in it’s own carry bag making it the only practical canoe to fly into wilderness lakes and rivers.
Lightweight, Inflatable Canoe
At only 60 lbs, the TC16 is lighter than most traditional, rigid canoes. When fully inflated, it measures a full 16′ x 38” but easily and quickly packs down to just 39” x 24” x 12” and can be thrown in a small car trunk, in an RV, checked as baggage or flown in on a small float plane. The patent pending all drop-stitch construction gives the TC16 the true shape of a traditional canoe and allows us to produce a canoe that is far safer and far more portable.
Inherent Buoyancy & Stability
Three inflatable air chambers provide incredible buoyancy making the TC16 impossible to sink. In the unlikely event the TC16 does turn over, uprighting it is a piece of cake. Very little water collects in the cockpit as the inflatable buoyancy of the canoe keeps it above the waterline, even when flipped upside down, so it can be quickly turned over and reentered. The superior buoyancy also allows the Travel Canoe™ to hold up to 915 lbs of passengers and gear.
Multi-Purpose Canoe
Fishing, camping, paddling, rapids…the TC16 does it all. The inherent buoyancy, full diamond deck pad and rigidity provide a secure footing, so you can safely stand up to fly fish, paddle or take beautiful photos. With the ability to take 1-3 paddles or 915 lbs of passengers and cargo, you can go on a 1, 2 or 3 week camping trip without running out of provisions. The bow and stern molds and double chine system provide remarkable tracking with or without the removable, rear skeg. Eddies, chutes, hydraulics are no problem for the TC16 which can handle up to and including Class IV whitewater.
